Roborock vs Roomba: Different companies, different navigation tech

Roborock and Roomba are direct competitors, not the same company — Roborock is Chinese (founded 2014), Roomba is American (iRobot, 1990). The key difference is navigation: Roborock uses LiDAR, Roomba uses camera-based visual SLAM. Both make excellent robot vacuums, but their tech approaches are fundamentally different.
