Marine coolers are overkill unless you leave your cooler on a boat deck in direct sun for weeks. A decent rotomolded cooler from Costco or Amazon keeps ice for three days and won’t rust unless you’re dunking it in the ocean. Marine coolers are heavier, more expensive, and only buy you an extra day of ice retention and UV protection.
