MacBook Air vs MacBook Pro trackpad: Same Force Touch, different size

Both use identical Force Touch trackpads with the same haptic feedback and pressure sensitivity since 2018 (Air) and 2015 (Pro). The only difference is size — the Pro’s trackpad is slightly larger on the 13-inch model and even bigger on 14- and 16-inch models. That extra surface helps with gestures, but the Air’s trackpad is already plenty big for most people. Don’t choose between them based on trackpad quality.
