Lap swimming vs leisure swimming: Pick 82°F to annoy everyone equally

Lap swimmers need 78–82°F or they overheat; loungers prefer 84–88°F. The 83–85°F middle makes nobody happy. If you share a pool, 82°F is the compromise that annoys both sides equally.
