Both Intel and Apple Silicon MacBook Airs support Wake on Demand for Bonjour services like AirDrop and file sharing when on power. But classic Wake-on-LAN via magic packets is disabled on Apple Silicon Macs from sleep — it only works in limited power states. Intel models let you wake remotely anytime. So if you need remote wake after deep sleep, an M-series Air probably won’t cut it; test before relying on it.
