Injection molded vs rotomolded coolers: Stick with injection molded unless you're camping off-grid

Injection molded coolers are fine for tailgating and beach trips at ~$50 with 1–2 days of ice, while rotomolded ones cost $250–350 but hold ice 4–5 days and are nearly indestructible. The key difference is construction: injection molding is cheaper with thinner walls, rotomolding creates thick, seamless walls for better insulation and durability. Only buy rotomolded if you need ice for three days without power.
