Glossy hard pads vs matte pads: Older sensors need matte, newer ones don't care

Glossy hard pads mess with older sensors like the PixArt 3360, causing tracking skips or jitter. Newer sensors (3395, 3950, etc.) handle glossy surfaces fine due to improved lens designs and calibration. So if you’re running a 3360, stick with matte; with a modern sensor, glossy works.
