ECC UDIMMs vs standard RAM on Ryzen 5 5600X + B550: Works with caveats

ECC UDIMMs will work with a Ryzen 5 5600X, but motherboard support is the real variable—B550 boards may or may not enable it in BIOS. Consumer Ryzen supports unbuffered ECC, but validation is looser; check your board’s QVL or specs for explicit ECC support. Registered or LRDIMMs won’t work at all.
