Desk mat vs mousepad: Thickness and stitched edges matter more than size for curling
A bigger surface doesn’t fix curling — material and construction do. Thin rubber bases on large mats curl worse than small pads because of leverage. Thicker rubber (3-5mm) and stitched edges resist curling, while cheap mousepads lack both. If choosing between a cheap desk mat and a quality standard mousepad, get the smaller one with stitched edges.
