CalDigit SOHO Dock vs cheaper USB-C hubs (Anker 555, Satechi, etc.): Spend the extra $20 for reliability

The CalDigit SOHO Dock costs more but is the only one that consistently works without issues on MacBook Airs — reliable 100W PD charging and a 4K 60Hz HDMI port with no flickering or disconnects. Cheaper alternatives usually work, but random disconnects and fried ports are common enough that the extra $20 is worth it for peace of mind.
