16GB vs 32GB RAM: 32GB is now the smart upgrade for most users
The price gap between 16GB and 32GB has shrunk to just $30–$60 for the same speed and latency. Two years ago it wasn’t worth it, but now games, browsers, and Slack are memory hogs—16GB is the new minimum, not the sweet spot. If you build or upgrade a PC, spend the extra; future you won’t have to close Chrome tabs to run a game. Unless you only check email and watch YouTube, then save the money.
